Students in Mrs. Gallagher's class are writing teacher super hero comics. For inspiration, we read some of Louis Sachar's
Wayside School stories,
Ricky Ricotta and the Mighty Robot by Dav Pilkey, and my favorite,
Lunch Lady and the Cyborg Substitute. Lunch Lady, written by Jarrett J. Krosoczka, is goofy graphic novel series starring a lunch lady who uses high-tech kitchen gadgets to investigate and capture vilains in and around the school. Gadgets include spork-phone, milk cam, and taco-vision night goggles.
